Allensworth is located in the furthest southern section of the San
Joqain Valley.
Our directions have been tested and retested. Yes there are many ways
to Allensworth but keep in mind, it is located in a rural part
of the valley and you will need accommodations and food PRIOR to
visiting.
From the Los Angeles area (south) TAKE Interstate 5 north towards
Bakersfield. Take Hwy. 99 through Bakersfield to Delano. Do Not Be
Fooled by the PONDS OFFRAMP - where you will notice an Allensworth sign
KEEP GOING In Delano, exit Cecil Ave. off ramp, make a left to get to
the Cecil Ave. Make another left onto Cecil Ave. and take it to the end
of Hwy.
43. Make a right and take Hwy. 43 north until Palmer Ave. Make a left
onto Palmer Ave. into the park.
For those adventurous types, you may enter the town of Allensworth as
follows- after making right on highway 43, go about 3.5 miles look for
Avenue 24, make left and cross rail tracks. You will see a white horse.

From the Bay area (north) SOUTH on
Interstate 5, take Hwy 198 east to Hanford. Take Hwy.43 south out of
Hanford until you pass AVE. 56. About 2 miles past AVE.
56, make a right on Palmer Ave. into the park.
Yes you can take into Allensworth, but
only on special pre-arranged stops.

desert-like, very cold during
winter (be on the look out for Tule Fog), and very very hot during summer months.
